About Claudel

I have a Master's Degree from Boston University in Public Health, and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Princeton University. I have a wide range of talents in various subjects. High School Math, English, and Standardized Tests such as the SAT are my strong points.

I have developed a passion for teaching over the years by tutoring students and by helping family members in an academic sense. Towards the end of my time at Princeton University, I helped many of my colleagues by reviewing their essays and editing their papers. I actually became so proficient at this that many of my peers would have me review their admissions essays for the schools that they were applying to.

For the past two years, I have been actively involved in tutoring my younger cousin with various subjects. He is currently a rising high school senior in a public urban school in Massachusetts. I have mainly tutored him in Math and English courses during the latter half of his high school career.

I am generally available in the afternoon hours Monday through Saturday. I am open to free consultations to ensure that I am the best fit for your needs. I am also flexible in negotiating exact meeting times. I look forward to working with you.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Bodybuilding

I am very experienced in the area of BodyBuilding, mainly Nutrition and Exercise Science through my own personal interest. I have worked at the YMCA since 2011 as Fitness Staff, and I had a Personal Training Certification for 2 years from FiTour. I received that certification in 2010 when I worked for Bally Total Fitness as a Trainer.

English

I have a passion for writing. I was a member of Prism, a creative writing magazine while I was an undergraduate student and in my spare time I enjoy to proofread and edit essays.

Fitness

I am a Fitness Enthusiast who currently works at the Old Colony YMCA in Brockton. I have in-depth physical fitness knowledge that I have acquired while I have been working in gym settings for the past 5 years, and I am working towards getting a NASM Certification in Personal Training.

Writing

I have extensive writing skills through my background in Public Health at Boston University where I wrote critiques epidemiological studies and my Psychology degree from Princeton where I composed essays on various subject matter for my coursework. I also have writing experience through my professional positions at Randolph Board of Health and Boston Medical Center.
