Tutor for engineering and physics-related subjects
I have my BSE, MSE, and Ph.D. all in mechanical engineering. I've been a teaching assistant for lots of courses, including Statics and Strength of Materials, fluid mechanics and heat transfer labs, Introduction to Flight (twice), and Theory of Vibrations (twice). My doctorate was in computational fluid mechanics, and I know MATLAB and the C programming languages fairly well. I can help with those kind of upper-level subjects, but also with undergrad-type physics and math subjects.

Andrew is GREAT and has a secret love for weather.
Working at a local TV station as a broadcast meteorologist doesn't leave a lot of extra time in my schedule, and the material I study is can be too specific for some...but not for Andrew :) After having graduated years prior, I was nervous about going back to school and taking a master's class that required Calculus I, II, Differential Eqns, Multivariable, and a number of Meteorology prerequisites. Andrew's mastery of fluid mechanics overlapped perfectly into dynamic meteorology. He's quick, and to the point, and when you're working and taking classes, this is invaluable. I'd definitely recommend Andrew. It's nice to have someone to refer to if you get in a pinch, and I hope to work with Andrew in the future, as I pursue a master's degree.
Clair, 9 lessons with AndrewTutor responded:Thanks, Clair! (Note to people with very specialized tutoring needs: I'm super flexible, and I have a pretty wide-ranging math, physics, and engineering background. If you can't find a tutor in a specialized STEM topic, give me a try!)
Efficient and skilled teacher
Andrew is a highly skilled coding teacher that, after he is given a description of the problem, can assist with solving it quite rapidly. I will ask for his help again if needed.

Right to the point
It turned out that what I needed was within his capabilities in a broad sense, I'd be better off with a specialist in the relatively-complex area where I need help. I really appreciate when people are honest about these things. He did show me a few basic things that were helpful as well.

Patient Tutor
Andrew was helpful to my son and was extremely patient both with him and I as we worked on both Calculus and technology issues trying to upload problems to work on from our end. A very pleasant and helpful tutor.

Excellent Matlab Tutor!
I am new in Matlab and I needed a guide to do a difficult matlab code involving several functions, loops and dialogue boxes with several multiple excel files to be analyzed all at once and I had no idea how to start and I had no one to ask for help. It was a very frustrating feeling and with the aid of google, luckily, I came across wyzant and I was very glad to have found Andrew who was magnificent. He was able to treat me respectfully and explained to me how to understand this difficult task with a lot of patience and breaking it into simpler parts and not as a difficult whole. He explained it to me in a simple and easy to understand format. Not only that I was able to learn but I was also enjoying to hear how good his explanations were and I wanted to hear more from him as he gave me good advise on how to present graphs in a professional way. Also he provided great tips on how to present data in front of an audience and how to be a better matlab programmer. He is very smart and I highly recommend Andrew for a Matlab tutor, specially for those students who don't know how to begin with such challenging matlab codes. Thank you, Andrew! I am very happy that you have helped me understand the introductory parts of Matlab!

pretty damn good math teacher!
I had one lesson with him, it was a little frustrating at first cause i wasn’t sure where to start and didn’t review anything before hand. But the next day went to my calc class and already knew and understood everything from him. Great teacher! He was also patient with me.

Diffy Q
Andrew did a great job reviewing homework and helping to prepare for mid term. Very responsive, on time and well organized. Great session. Plan to use Andrew again to for homework assistance and to help prepare for final exam. The Wyznat portal was easy to use!

Super Smart
Andrew is one of the smartest people i've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. He is a true master at MatLab and it's an absolute pleasure to watch him take the problem, dissect it, and then artfully code a script. Absolute pleasure.
Rick, 63 lessons with AndrewTutor responded:Thanks, Rick! (Rick is the owner of a company and was not doing work for credit, but just for his own understanding. Students who *are* working for a grade should note that I won't do your work for you, although I'm always happy to help people understand how to set a problem up and "get over the hump.")
Knowledgeable tutor
Andrew is a knowledgeable tutor and he is very patient with me in my linear algebra homework. He breaks down each step by step approach in problem solving so I could understand. I strongly recommend Andrew to other students.

Very knowledgeable and very positive
He tutored me on MATLAB skills, we worked on a few engineering type of projects, and he was efficiently to identify my needs, breakdown the problems, helped me comprehend the problems more in depth. I will definitely work with him again next semester for other engineering subjects
