I have worked over 20 years as an engineer. I understand how science and math are used in industry. I like to help students understand the importance of trying to determine if answers make sense. I am a parent of two high school students so I understand the stress involved in trying to equip them for college. I obtained my Master's degree from MIT and my bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota. I was employed my junior and senior years to tutor undergraduates. Most of my tutoring experience was with physics and calculus material. There are a number of aspects of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus that I have continued to use and are fundamental to calculus and other advanced mathematics. I have continued to work with teens as I have coached about 10 years in youth sports. I am a non-smoker and I'm not allergic to pets.

Craig is very knowledgeable and seems to have a very good manner with my teenage son. The several sessions have been most helpful catching up on remedial topics in pre-calculus and preparing for new topics.
I have been having tutoring all year with Craig for Algebra 2. He is very patient and does a great job of explaining things that I didn't understand in my math class.
If it wasn't for Craig, Chris would not have done as well as he did in Calculus! Craig is fantastic!
My daughter is being tutored by Craig in physics and precalculus and she enjoys her lessons. He has really helped her confidence! Craig genuinely cares about his students. Her grades are improving and more importantly she has discovered that she can tackle these challenging subjects with the right tools, guidance and support. Thank you Craig!
Craig has taught my son Algebra over the summer to better prepare him for school. He is great at explaining how the math he is teaching is applicable to real life and my son's future. Very professional and calm.
Craig is a patient and thoughtful tutor. He helped my son to review precalculus and some physics concepts too. He was flexible and prompt.
Craig started out gently with the subject of physics to find out where our daughters level of knowledge was. He moved forward at a strong pace and brought each chapter of her College Physics 1 down to common understanding principles with everyday examples. He is soft-spoken, which made our daughter very comfortable with his teaching methods.
He was also always flexible with our time constraints. He helped her understand her home work assignments and, before tests, reviewed the subject matter that would be on the test. Craig is a very professional tutor, well versed in physics and, with the knowledge we have, we would recommend him to others.
Craig is a solid tutor. Very calm, even-keeled, works well with students. He was instrumental in our son's turning around his physics experience. Strongly recommended.
We found Craig to be an excellent tutor in
physics. He was detailed and was flexible with his schedule to accommodate us.
We have had two sessions with Craig so far and he has been very professional and conscientious. My daughter is feeling more confident with the material and classwork.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As long as algebra is taught in school, there will be prayer in school.
I took calculus in high school and several levels of calculus in college. I also took 3D calculus at MIT. While tutoring in my junior and senior year of college, I tutored freshman in calculus.
I took geometry in high school. I have been able to use the principles over and over in my career as a practicing engineer.
I took physics in high school and a year's worth of physics at the University of Minnesota. While in my junior and senior year of college, I tutored freshmen in physics.
So is trigonometry really relevant in your day to day activities? You bet it is. Let's explore areas where this science finds use in our daily activities and how we can use this to resolve problems we might encounter. Although it is unlikely that one will ever need to directly apply a trigonometric function in solving a practical issue, the fundamental background of the science finds usage in an area which is passion for many - music!
