Having recently graduated from Bard College at Simon's Rock with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics at the age of 20, I'm working towards my goal of making physics and math more interesting and accessible to everyone. If you're falling behind, not understanding concepts, having difficulty finishing homework, not feeling confident in your work, or looking to get ahead and pursue your interests beyond what your school offers, I want to help you succeed.

With over 6+ years combined work experience as a Tutor, TA, and Mentor, I've developed a love for working with students, helping to inspire and support them in achieving their goals. Through this experience, I've also had the pleasure of working with very diverse sets of students. I've worked with students ranging in age from 11 to 19 and one well into her 40s, many students I've worked with have learned English as a Second Language, and I've helped students falling behind in their classes as well as students accelerated years ahead.

Physics is the science that seeks to discover how the world works, at its most fundamental level. Seeing that beauty in it, Physics is the field I pursued my undergraduate degree in, and as such, it's where the bulk of my education and experience falls in. As a college-employed Physics Tutor, I helped students struggling with physics in both one on one settings as well as in group review sessions, and also held cram review sessions before exams where I'd cover all the material from beginning to end. As a Private Tutor, I've worked with students having difficulty as well as advanced students looking for a challenge. I've also worked in a formal classroom setting, teaching two classes of 15 5th and 6th Graders a high-school level course titled "The Physics of Engineering".

At the Middle School level, I can help you out with Physics along with Physical Sciences and Earth Science. At the High School Level, I can help you succeed in general high school Physics as well as AP Physics 1 and 2, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism. At the College Level, I can help you keep up with Classical Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Analog and Digital Electronics, and Special Relativity. If you need help with Quantum Physics, Foundations of Quantum Mechanics, Astrophysics, or Statistical Thermodynamics, reach out and we can talk, as these are more advanced.

In Physics, Mathematics is used as a language to describe the nature of the universe. Developing an understanding and fluency in Mathematics unlocks the complexity and beauty of reality, but without a solid foundation, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep up. I can help you get your bearings in the basics: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Trigonometry. Beyond that, I can also help you succeed in Pre-Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Calculus (Calc 1), and Integral Calculus (Calc 2). If you need help in Multivariable Calculus (Calc 3) or Ordinary Differential Equations, reach out and we'll talk, as these are more advanced.

I always make sure to remain patient and personalize my curriculum and style of teaching to each individual student. If you'd like to schedule a time to call or meet, or you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and let me know, I'd love to hear from you!

I have a Bachelor's in Physics as well as years of experience tutoring and teaching physics, both employed by my college and privately. Additionally, I've worked as a TA in college running physics labs, and I have formal experience teaching a physics class at Johns Hopkins CTY. My research thesis centered around physics education and how to present an advanced physical and mathematical concept to an audience without a physics background.

Guitar

Having played guitar for 7 years, I've performed in front of audiences, played guitar for a Flamenco dance class, transcribed many songs to fingerstyle, and become well versed in the styles of Flamenco, Fingerstyle, Rock, and Classical guitar. I've taught two students how to play, one interested in learning classical and the other mainly Hozier covers. If you'd like to learn techniques, styles, or are just interested in learning how to play a specific song, reach out and I'll do my best to help!
