I have been working/studying as an engineer and scientist since 2004, both in academia and in the private sector. I have completed all my degrees in Aerospace and Mechanical engineering with the maximum grades. One of the people that really motivated me to pursue a career in science and engineering was my high school Math tutor. She had a PhD in Math and she was an absolutely amazing teacher. I hope I can transfer some of her methods and creative thinking to my students.
During my graduate studies, I have been tutoring several students at high school and college levels. I tutored one high school for a full year in math and physics helping her improve her grades in both subjects from C to A. I have helped a high school student learning how to code in Python and landing a prestigious summer program in AI at Columbia University. During my PhD, I have taught several classes at NYU -- mostly physics/engineering labs -- helping students going through the assignments and understand fundamental concepts in mechanical engineering (average teacher grade 4.8/5 out of 175 students).
My teaching style is strongly focused on developing basic reasoning and methods, but I am also up for a crash course on a specific topic. I will be happy to help students in math (algebra, calculus, geometry, ODE, PDE) and physics (introductory physics, statics, mechanics, continuum mechanics, fluid mechanics) as well as in all the specific disciplines that are covered in undergraduate classes in aerospace and mechanical engineering (mechanics of materials, materials science, vibrations, etc). I can also help you learn how to code in Python!
