I have spent over three years as a TA in various subjects, including four semesters as a Human Biology TA. I have also tutored privately in the New Haven community.

I specialize in MCAT Psychology and Sociology, with 90th percentile + scores on all three AAMC Full Length exams and on my actual exam.

I can also assist with other MCAT sciences.

I have tons of MCAT resources and practice, and am excited to work together to see your scores climb up toward those 132’s!

Biology

I will earn my Masters in Biomedical Sciences from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2019. I also taught Biology and Human Biology to undergraduates at San Francisco State University for over two years. I currently am also a tutor for the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), where a deep understanding of biological processes is paramount to success. I often work with students to build schedules tailored to their specific needs, and work through problem sets to gauge their strengths and weaknesses. I'm also happy to prepare lessons on any subject that you might find particularly challenging. Whether you're in college, graduate school or even high school, it always brings me great joy to see my students succeed, and I'm excited to participate in your success in Biology!

College Counseling

Before applying to medical school, I successfully conquered undergraduate admissions, transfer admissions, and graduate school admissions - every time securing an offer for admission to my top choice program on my first round of applications. I can help YOU craft your application into a coherent, compelling story. If you’re in the early stages of thinking about medical school (or another graduate or undergraduate program), I will be your personalized coach to help you constructively approach the years leading up to medical school admissions (or any other program) in order to maximize your application cycle when that exciting time comes. I love seeing my students succeed and I can’t wait to participate in your academic success!!

MCAT

MCAT

I love seeing my students succeed on their MCAT! Since I started tutoring, ALL of my students who have taken their MCAT have scored between 512 and 519 (86th to 97th percentile!). Every one of these students gained 4+ points on their P/S section during our time together, with over half meeting or exceeding a score of 130 on this section! I have time- proven strategies to help you do the same IF you’re willing to put in the work. :) My subjects of specialty are P/S and B/B (psychology/sociology and biology/biochemistry), where I exceeded 90th percentile on each practice exam, including my real MCAT. I am also happy to help with C/P and CARS. I spent nearly three years as a Research Associate at Yale School of Medicine where I had multiple publications accepted in well-known journals. Published works topics include innate immunity regulation, antiviral response in epithelium, mental health in specific disease populations. Finally, I spent 4 semesters as Teaching Assistant for Human Biology.

Best tutor ever!!

She’s an MCAT fairy. I swear she was better than my medicinal biochemistry professor. Effective tutor, one I do not regret!

Super Helpful and Cares About Students

Arielle is the best teacher I have had in a long time. She is very patient and encouraging. She knows exactly how to find your weak points and turn them into strengths. She is very knowledgeable in every topic and spends a lot of time explaining to it so you truly understand it. Thank you so much for everything you do!

Knowledgable and patient tutor

Arielle helped me to study for the MCAT, specifically the CHE/PHY section. She made some of the most complex content seem so simple, and really helped me to breakdown the material. She is so patient, and will work with you until you get it. I cannot recommend her enough!

Excellent MCAT tutor!

Arielle was very helpful in the process of studying for Psychology and Sociology. I started off not having taken any Psychology courses, but, by the time I took the MCAT, I had a confident grasp on most of the Psychology concepts. In addition, Arielle also helped me set up a study plan which adapted to my needs. Overall, Arielle employs a very thoughtful and methodical approach to tutoring.
