About Kayla

I taught math for students in grade 5, and grade 7 (pre algebra). My teaching license is in MA and covers grades 5 through 8. I was a math teacher in Boston Public Schools for two years.

What I love about tutoring is the flexibility to teach skills, have students practice these skills, provide immediate feedback to students, and to see them relish through gaining skills, knowledge, and the confidence to learn and grow further.

I have a Master's degree, teaching experience and teacher licensure.

I have experience providing help to students with writing their college essays, applying to schools, and understanding their financial aid packages.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
