I have a long and exhaustive relationship with words and language: My education has lead me from an undergraduate degree in English with a minor in Communications to a Masters degree in English - both of which were achieved at the University of Massachusetts - Boston.
Over the past two years I have had the privilege of teaching an undergraduate 200 level English course two undergraduate students varying in age from 18 to 60 and coming from all disciplines. I have also served as a one-to-one writing tutor for these same undergraduate students over those two years. In my spare time I like to play basketball and video games. I am a dedicated scholar but I don't take myself too seriously.
I like to create an easy, comfortable, manageable environment for my tutees where we not only work to become better writers critically and technically, but we also build relationships.

MA - English: University of Massachusetts - Boston '14-'16

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
