Hello I'm Max F. I am a film and video game composer, sound designer, and private lesson teacher. I've taught privately on and off for the past 5 years on drum set, marching percussion, classical percussion, composition, Orchestration, music theory, production, midi mockup/production, and different types of music software (i.e. Finale, ProTools, Logic, Ableton, Reason, etc.). In addition to this I was mentor at the Celebration of the Arts Campjazz in Pennsylvania. I just graduated from Berklee College of Music with a bachelors in Film Scoring and a minor in Music technology, with extra study put towards both video game music and also Indian music. I've written music for everything from orchestra to rock to middle eastern.
I've been a percussionist for over 10 years and have played with a variety of different types of ensembles. From 2009-2011 I was a vibe player in the pit for an independent world class WGI drum line, Surround Sound. I also have experience as a Quad/Tenor player for marching percussion. In 2012 I started attending Berklee as a drum set player and was awarded a composition scholarship by the college. While at berklee I played and studied in the styles of Jazz, Rock, Middle easter, Funk, Pop, and Latin.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have a degree from Berklee College of Music with a minor in Music Technology. This major was extremely driven by technology and required all students to know the principles of audio and how to work your way around different DAW's. While studying Music technology I was required to take courses in recording and mixing where we learned how to used DAW's like protools, and other common plugins like reverb, compression, gates, and vocal tuning in a professional way. I have also taken internships at a post production and a recording studio to further my knowledge on different types of audio production.
