I tutored elementary-school students of all ages while doing my research about teaching tolerance and preventing bullying at the South End Branch of the Boston Public Library during an after-school program for children called: the Homework Assistance Program. My research during that time was about how to prevent bullying in the elementary school system. I volunteered my time for half of the semester by tutoring. After tutoring I would compile data for my research class by asking my group of children various questions about how they felt about bullying.
I hold a Master's in Elementary Education from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and a Preliminary Teaching License for MA. These qualifications allow me to instruct students in math, reading/writing/English, science and history in the first through sixth grades.
I am available to meet for tutoring instruction at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square or the South-End Branch. If that is not possible then I may be able to meet students at a library near them. I am available to work as a tutor from 2pm to 7pm on the weekdays; and, it is also possible I could tutor on the weekends. I look forward to meeting you and your child.
