About Wendri

I have been tutoring for over six years and am fully dedicated to your child's academic success using engaging teaching methods that establish fundamentals from the start. I am currently a college student with a 4.0 GPA with a passion for education and watching students gain success in both academic and social situations. I have prior experience tutoring clients and my personal perseverance for over three years of experience with specialties in teaching Chinese, mathematics, and ESL. Additionally, I have won several awards in both China and the U.S. for my academic abilities in Chinese and math. My students claim that I break down math problems in ways that are easy to understand, and they report my lessons are engaging and educational. My students appreciate my pre-planning for each lesson, active engagement methods, and dedication to making sure each student succeeds with his or her goals.

**Please contact me for references of clients who achieved a 100+ point increase on the NEW SAT after regular lessons with me!

I am an international student from China who won first place in an Olympics Math competition in Hubei, China. I study English and material for my students daily and had the unique opportunity to learn from another successful tutor who also teaches the same subjects I am pursuing. I have graduated from the ESL program at the University of North Georgia last year, and I currently study in Boston as a psychology major, which helps me to teach more effectively and understand the student's needs.

I strive to reply to students and parents in 24 hours or less using the email communication via this website. I am also pleased to have availability on both weekdays and weekends as late as 10pm.

Thank you for your consideration. Please feel free to email if you have any questions.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Chinese

I am a native Chinese speaker who attended elementary, middle, and high school in China. I have also tutored Chinese to both native and non-native speakers in the past. Further, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in China.

Drawing

I won first place in a sketching contest at Hubei province (China). I also won the silver cup in a widely acclaimed painting competition in China. Here in the U.S. I continually practice my drawing, painting, and calligraphy.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have had three years of experience tutoring children from grades K-6 in both the US and in China, and currently tutor elementary students both online and in person. I teach math, science, English, Chinese, and study skills to elementary school students and receive positive feedback. I feel comfortable with this subject material since I hold a 4.0 GPA and feel my major in psychology helps enhance lessons with younger students.

Study Skills

My background in psychology has enlightened me on techniques for efficient study habits for various learning styles. Furthermore, I currently maintain a 4.0 GPA, which is attributed to my skillful methods of study. I have also had the unique opportunity to learn from several students attending Harvard along with successful businessmen who went through rigorous methods of study.
