My name is Catherine R. I began my undergraduate career playing collegiate division II golf at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY with a double major in economics and applied mathematics. I'm received my MBA at Oakland University in Michigan. n economics. I'm currently a PhD student at Harvard continuing my education in economics. Being a current student, I understand the current and in demand skills that professors require from their students. I graduated high school from Notre Dame Preparatory as Magna Cum Laude valedictorian. I also graduated Cum Laude from undergrad as well. Even though, I'm on the business side of school, I believe the arts are just as important. I played golf in high school as well as was in National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Student Council, and Varsity Club.
I tutored high school and middle school kids for National Honor society hours. Additionally, I tutored peers at college while at Bellarmine University and Oakland University. When tutoring someone, I believe that instead of showing how to problem solve, you have to guide the student to figure it out on their own. It's easy to show a student how to work, but in guiding them to the solution, they'll be able to learn how to solve themselves.

Drawing

I studied various forms of drawing (landscape, realism, portrait, etc.) all over the world learning different methods. I'm familiar with methods of drawing that are taught in school: legibility, contrast, attention to detail, ingenuity, line work, texture, shading, composition, saturation, and precision. I'm also familiar with different techniques such as but not limited to cross hatching, blending, and others.

Business

Business,

Business

I'm qualified to teach business because my college major is a business field: economics. Because it's in the business school, I have taken various business classes and understand how to teach the concepts that are taught. Furthermore, I have taken specialized classes in the business field that business classes tend to overlap in: finance, marketing, management, accounting, entrepreneurship and others. Finally, I was a Student Instructor at my university where I taught classes (that I have already taken and excelled in) on business topics.

Violin

Violin

I am qualified to tutor violin because I have studied music theory and played the violin for nine years. I understand the hand positions in accordance with each note for the violin. I can tutor violin because I can adequately show what each symbol in music means and how to translate that in how to play it.

I'm qualified to tutor golf because I played golf for college. I'm familiar with how to adjust one's stroke based on the club that he or she is using and where they are stroking from (i.e. the ruff, the sand trap, the fairway). I'm also certified to teach golf and the country club that I belong to. I'm familiar with ways to use different clubs in certain situations that can help better one's performance. Finally, I can read greens and can help show others how to read the green to better understand the angles and speed to putt.
