Thanks for taking the time to read my profile.
I am a master's candidate for a degree in Library and Information Science. I am particularly interested in the field of archives. As a history enthusiast with a sociological frame of thinking, I enjoy considering the interconnections of personal narratives and the thematic nature of history. Skills that I offer include tutoring to elementary to middle school students, athletic skill training, and research for personal and academic interests.
Upon graduating from Brandeis University, I participated in a year of service opportunity tutoring a caseload of 7 students daily in math and English. After such a stellar experience, I returned the following year to guide and supervise 45 recent college graduates working with students.
From my childhood to college, I was athletically competitive and learned valuable lessons on fields and courts. I was a three sport varsity athlete in basketball, soccer, and tennis.
My friends and family would describe me as intense, yet gentle. I enjoy setting goals and creating steps to make things seem more manageable. I am naturally a "pusher" which sometimes can come off as intimidating but has been received as an expression of care. The opportunity to tutor provides a space for mutual growth and I look forward partnering with you (and your child/ren) to create goals. I welcome questions to further the conversation on my qualifications. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I played basketball from 3rd grade until my sophomore year of college. I was a 4-year varsity-lettered athlete and recruited to be a member of my collegiate team. I played point guard, and as a leader on and off the floor, I became familiar with the expectations and roles of all the positions.
