All students can succeed is the foundation of my philosophy. I'm an education consultant for Boston Public Schools and I enjoy tutoring/coaching learners of all ages. As a tutor and coach, I deem it my responsibility to create a space where my students can find the tools and the confidence they need to achieve. I am particularly interested in tutoring/coaching international students because I have a profound sense of admiration and respect for students who have the courage to study in a foreign country that does not speak their native language. However, I welcome the opportunity to tutor and coach any student who has a will to succeed.
Years ago, I followed my passion and plunged into the world of after school education. I helped to launch and establish supplemental educational programs across four major US cities, serving students in urban public schools, through tutoring and enrichment programs during the after school hours and summer breaks. Today, the organization that I helped to build is serving tens of thousands of students across the US and achieving remarkable results. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
