About Christopher

My passion for teaching comes from a long family history of educational professionals. I graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering and I have been working as a professional tutor for the last two years. During the mornings, I work as an engineer, but nothing gives me more of a sense of purpose than tutoring. This is truly the best job I have ever had!

I specialize in tutoring all levels of high school Math as well as college level calculus. My overall goal is rather than to teach memorization to students, it's to give your student the tools required to solve math problems on their own. This skill is something that can be used for other subjects, more advanced math courses and even test preparation. In my opinion, this method of teaching will result in an overall betterment for the student.

It is my policy to hold a free consultation with the student to gauge their current level of understanding within their chosen subject. I often ask for feedback, to ensure that the student and parent are both satisfied with my tutoring. While I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy, I try to be flexible with time. I can offer makeup sessions or potentially change the session time to one that better suits the student.

To ensure that the students have a quiet and comfortable stud space in which to work with me, I offer tutoring space at the Daphne Public Library. I am also happy to travel to another location if it's more convenient for the student. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your high school and college career.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
