I'm a Umass Boston student. Calculus was a hard class. I didn't do well on my first test so I decided to have tutoring lessons. Johnny was an awesome tutor. My grades improved significantly after I started having lessons with him. He helped me understand the material and see that it wasn't that difficult as I thought. I would definitely recommend him.

I reached out to Johnny specifically for help preparing for the quantitative section of the GRE. He provided me with excellent test-taking tips, as well as in-depth explanations for problems I was struggling with on the practice test. Thanks to Johnny, I've got a great study plan that I am confident will help me achieve my goals.

Johnny took the time before we actually scheduled the lesson to talk on the phone and text to get basic information about my son. He was very accommodating with the day and time for the initial lesson. We hired Johnny for math, and the session today was for high school geometry. Johnny was patient, took his time, and my son was engaged the entire time! It is very difficult for my son to focus for an hour learning new material and stay engaged, but everything went very well. I would not hesitate to recommend Johnny.

Was very patient and was easy to talk to he is helping my son with math for the asvab test and my son enjoyed the session he didnt feel like he was in a class room he was comfortable with him and felt he was learning better then he ever did in class.

Johnny is very knowledgeable and patient. He helped me review some of the material I missed in class due to an absence and I now have a solid understanding of those topics.

went over a practice exam. idea of giving examples for me to solve which made me fully confident on the problems, he made sure i understood everything.

Johnny is a great math and science tutor! He's very patient with my daughter and knows just how to explain the material to her so she understands it. He is flexible and helpful. Her grades have already improved and I think that's just the start! Thanks, Johnny!

Johnny is a great math tutor - he quickly dug in to the math problems my daughter was strugging with (Honors Pre-Calc, 11th grade). She said he did a great job explaining confusing concepts in an understandable way and gave her very helpful tips and techniques that were immediately useful for her upcoming test and also for the future. Johnny was polite, prompt, friendly and has a great rapport. I highly recommend him as a math tutor!!

After his first session with Johnny, my son was so happy and excited. So many weeks of feeling lost with his pre-calc material and in just one session with Johnny he felt like there was hope for success. Johnny is patient and good-natured. He had a good sense of my son needed to start untangling his confusion. His explanations were thorough and organized.

Johnny G. is an excellent instructor who genuinely cares about his students' performances. He has a very strong grasp of mathematics and is able to explain answers easily and eloquently. Furthermore, he is able to provide a number of different approaches to the same problem. He has helped my son to understand Algebra II. Johnny has been very flexible with scheduling and very pleasant to work with. Thank you!

Johnny is very patient and understanding of my need. I have been struggling with math, especially in my Engineering Level Calculus I at New Jersey Institute of Technology. The best thing is that Johnny can be reached very quickly and has flexible hours through the day, evening, and weekends. I found Johnny to be the best tutor I have ever had, he answered every question I had and answered all of my emails. This class is not easy for me but I am glad that I found this great tutor. Thanks Johnny!!!

Johnny is an excellent physics tutor. He helped my son gain the confidence he needed to succeed. Johnny proved himself to be a very helpful tutor. Not only was he very accommodating with schedule, he also found a way of explaining AP Physics in a way that allowed my son to grasp the complex concepts. I highly recommend Johnny as a tutor.

If I don't understand something the first time he explains a problem he will show me in another way to solve the problem. He's really patient. Responds to any questions I have through email within the same day. He Knows a lot about the ASVAB which is exactly what I need. Go to Johnny!

My son loves Johnny. He has an upcoming Pre-cal test and make up quiz, so we will hopefully see some improvement. Also thanks for the rate reduction, it is very much appreciated.

He is an awesome tutor. I truly recommend him. He has helped me out a lot. He is extremely patient and always willing to go the extra mile to help me.

The lessons have been great, we are going over everything I missed in school that is needed for the Asvab. He has a clear understanding of what is needed for the test which helps me prepare.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have tutored 7 students on the AFOQT already and all have passed. As a former military member, I can give first hand experience knowledge about the military in general, and better relate to the student. Lastly the exam is very much math intensive and that is the typical component where most students seek help for when taking this exam, and I specialize in math tutoring.
