Math:

Algebra 1,
Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Do you need help with those word problems? Do you keep forgetting how to multiply and add your fractions? Whether in a college math course, physics course, or tutoring, I have helped students with their algebra 1 skills for over 10 years with great success. I currently teach algebra at Bunker Hill Community College.

I recently taught intermediate algebra (algebra 2 equivalent) at a local community college. I tutored algebra 2 and college algebra students nationwide through email/telephone at Pearson.

Are you having problems with that astronomy course?

I taught an Introduction to Astronomy course at a community college in Dallas, TX. Although the concepts can be difficult to understand, I love to use multimedia to make this subject come alive.

Do you need help with your derivatives and integrals? Can't figure out what a partial derivative is? Calculus is frequently used in many advanced Physics courses. Not only am I proficient in single and multi-variable calculus, but I can also help you with those application problems. I have taught calculus-based Physics courses for Engineers at Wentworth Institute of Technology. I also tutored Calculus students nationwide through email or telephone at Pearson.

I have taught GED test preparation for many years and would love to help you pass the exam. A diagnostic will be performed assessing the students abilities. Using the diagnostic and other resources, I will help you do great on the GED exam! I have helped several students achieve scores over 600 on the GED Science and GED social studies exams.

I have taught Geometry as part of a math course for 4 years now. I have been tutoring physics students on their Geometry fundamentals for over 10 years. If you have a Geometry question, I will be able to help you.

Do you need help with your physical science class? Do not worry! I have a Master of Science in Physics, and would also be a great choice as a physical science tutor. I have taught algebra-based physics, calculus-based physics, and astronomy courses at the college level. I have also tutored students one-on-one in these subjects.

I am a Physics Professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology, and have over ten years of experience. I have taught both semesters of Introductory Physics (Classical Mechanics and Electromagnetism). I have taught the calculus-based (for engineers) and algebra-based curriculum.

I can tutor students in:

* Classical Mechanics (kinematics, dynamics, conservation laws, gravity, waves )

* Thermodynamics

* Electromagnetism (electricity, magnetism, electromagnetic fields, Maxwell's Equations, optics)

* Relativity (special relativity, general relativity)

I have taught pre-algebra courses at a local community college & would love to help you with this course.

I recently tutored Precalculus students nationwide through email or telephone at Pearson.

Trigonometry is used frequently in algebra-based and calculus-based physics courses. Not only the introductory courses, but the advanced courses as well. The precalculus curriculum covers concepts such as: trigonometry, functions, exponential functions and logarithmic functions.

Whether in a college math course, physics course, or tutoring, I have been assisting students with mathematics for many years. I currently teach algebra at Bunker Hill Community College. I am especially skilled in small group or one-on-one situations. I can't wait to assist you with your SAT math exam!

Are you having problems with those sine, cosine, and tangent functions?

Trigonometry is used frequently in algebra-based physics and calculus-based physics courses. Not only the introductory courses, but the advanced courses as well. As a result, I can help you brush up on your trigonometry skills.
