About Erin

Physics is a way to explain the world around you and how everything works. Math is what is needed when you run out of words, math is the language of science.

I have a bachelors degree in physics, during my years as an undergrad I had the opportunity to build rockets, cantaloupe launching machines and lots of other fun activities. I have expertise in math and science, both subjects that I love.

I love physics, chemistry and biology. Each have their own way of explaining what we see around us and adding to the worlds amazement.

When it comes to learning math and science, you really have to see that this is a different language that instead of plugging in numbers and hoping for the best you really need to figure out what the 'language' is saying and how do I interpret what I am reading or doing. The same for if you went to another country, you first want to know what they are saying before you respond. I like to take the work that is being done and question it, use diagrams and relate science/math to more understandable topics. Break down what you are learning into core pieces before putting it all back together in a way that is easier to understand.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
