My son had trouble on an entrance exam for College. Algebra, he had take years before, was not quite as clear as he remembered. Passed Pre Calc, and Calc, but Algebra? Nope.
We got in touch with John. He met with my son twice a week until the next placement test, reviewing Algebra and Pre Calc. He was patient, on time, and accommodating to our crazy schedule. Great review on everthing my son would have to know for the placement exam. HE PASSED! That means, my son goes right into his major and doesn't have to take extra classes that would cost money. We couldn't have done it with out him. I highly recommend John H.
John is a patient, knowledgeable tutor. He is great tutor. At the short times he was effective tutoring with my son.
John started working with our 14 year old son and it immediately became apparent that he has the skill set to clarify problems and most importantly relate to a stubborn teenager! We look forward to working with him.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
