About Gregory

I am a theoretical physicist who loves to teach.

Looking for a brainiac who’s also an experienced and patient one-on-one tutor? If so, I’ll bet you 3 quarks that you won’t find a better personal brain-builder anywhere in the Boston area. Here are some of my credentials:

• Graduate of the University of Cambridge, UK
• Pursuing PhD in theoretical physics at Stanford University
• 4 years of undergraduate teaching experience at the University of Rochester
• 1 year of teaching experience with Kaplan Test Prep in Boston
• 1 year of personal tutoring experience with Wyzant
• Excellent academic track record and standardized test scores (see my resume!)
• Many satisfied students (and parents!) ------> See their feedback on my WyzAnt page!

Previous students have commended my thorough attention to their unique needs. I am a good listener, and I let the STUDENTS decide what they want out of a tutoring session. My teaching style is steady and accommodating, so that a student never moves on to new material until he or she has understood the current material.

I specialize in:
SAT / ACT prep
GRE prep (Quantitative, Verbal, and Physics GRE Subject)
• Various mathematics and science subjects such as:
• College-level Calculus
• Physics
Algebra
Trigonometry
Chemistry
Computer Programming
• and Theoretical Physics of course!

My asking price is $50/hour, but this is negotiable.

My resume is also available, which details my teaching and technical qualifications. Please ask for a copy if you would like.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
