As a current student at an Ivy League University (The University of Pennsylvania), I’m ready to give you the rigorous training needed to reach the perfect scores on standardized tests I achieved (1600 on the SAT).
My 2nd service is admissions consulting. I’ll edit all the essays, activities lists, resumes, GPA/Test Score addenda, etc. The admissions committees should feel COMPELLED to grant you an acceptance.
My 3rd service is maximizing scholarships and financial aid. I have copious expertise regarding external merit-based scholarships (non need-based) and the internal merit-based scholarships (separate applications often required) available at some Colleges.
I’ve been tutoring and essay editing for the past 7 years. My clients were accepted into some of the most competitive Colleges including: Harvard, MIT, Caltech, University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, Columbia, Princeton and Yale. I’ll share the latest tricks, including strategizing the selected major (school dependant), keeping “privilege” in check, and optimizing additional materials to send.
Finally, I can plan ahead by discussing which summer internships you’ll need to secure in order to get on the right track. I received a rare freshman summer internship at Deloitte. So whether you’re trying to break into Finance or Big Tech, I can discuss the Coffee Chat requests, College research opportunities, etc. My GPA is 3.82 in the Economics major, thus I have particular expertise for those heading into investment banking, consulting, private equity, venture capital and hedge funds.
I am very adept at tutoring those with ADHD or dyslexia. With the brutal job market currently facing grads from all schools now (hitting hardest grads of low-ranked schools), can you afford not to optimize your applications? If you fail to land on the right track now, you’d likely fall off permanently and never get back on.
Thus, I would argue that my services are not a luxury. These days, with employers more ruthless than ever, my services are a necessity.

Approved Subjects

Acting

Acting

I excel in acting with hands-on experience directing a feature film called Athens Academy involving 19 actors, where I managed performances, handled bloopers, and organized a mock Academy Awards event. I teach techniques like method acting, vocal modulation, and body language through warm-ups, scene studies, and improvisation exercises to develop authentic characters. My background includes performing at Renaissance Fairs as a medieval storyteller and musician in front of over 10,000 attendees, as well as auditioning for America's Got Talent while singing and playing three different instruments: piano, harp, and violin. I guide students on overcoming stage fright and adapting to roles, using my opera singing lessons with Alexander Tolstoy Prokhorov to emphasize expression and timing. Sessions involve rehearsing monologues from Greek tragedies inspired by my Classics club founding and modern scripts, with detailed feedback to refine delivery. I have mentored club members to win competitions and build confidence for auditions. My UPenn Theater in Philadelphia course with an A grade further strengthens my expertise in stage techniques and ensemble work.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

My experience in Algebra 1 includes receiving an A+ in my competitive high school’s advanced honors Algebra 1 class. In addition, some other evidence of my math ability that I can teach you or your child Algebra 1 includes that I got an 800 on the math SAT, have received an A or A+ in every math class I’ve ever taken (including at my Ivy League school), and having placed 65th nationally in mathematics in a Math Olympiad competition. I would be delighted to teach you or your child Algebra 1 to help them catch up, study for a test, get help with troublesome homework, or look to get ahead. In addition, once Algebra and Geometry are finished, you or your child is ready to take the SAT, for the most part. Thus, my tutoring will not only help with the math homework, but it will also allow you or your child to take the SAT early. This is critical in order to be able to take the SAT multiple times before senior year of high school, and thus reach that competitive score necessary for the top schools.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Whether you are struggling or looking to get ahead in Algebra 2, I can help. I have years of experience tutoring students in Algebra 2. In addition, evidence of my math ability includes scoring at the top of my class and receiving the highest grade of an A+ in my advanced high school’s honors Algebra 2 class. The teacher thought that I was not only highly skilled at Algebra 2 but also effective at teaching it to other students in class, so he selected me as a teaching assistant for my high school’s Algebra 2 class. Further reasons why I believe I would be the best Algebra 2 tutor for you include scoring a perfect 800 on the SAT math section and ranking 65th nationally in a mathematics competition I participated in during high school that covered several Algebra 2 topics. I can help with a wide range of Algebra 2 topics, including linear equations and inequalities, quadratic functions, polynomial division, rational expressions, logarithms, and more! Algebra 2 is the final step before you are ready to tackle most questions on the SAT or ACT. Make sure you know Algebra thoroughly, and there will be nothing to stop you from excelling at the next level of math. Algebra 2 is what will help carry you through the college application process and beyond.
AMC (Competition math)

AMC (Competition math)

I specialize in AMC competition math, having placed 65th in the international Math Kangaroo contest in 2023 and won first place in three Market Watch stock market simulations in 2021. I teach problem-solving strategies for algebra, geometry, and number theory, using past papers to practice time management and multiple-choice tactics. My perfect 1600 SAT math score reflects my ability to break down complex questions like combinatorics and inequalities into logical steps. Students benefit from timed drills, error analysis, and conceptual explanations to build resilience and accuracy. I incorporate visual aids for geometry proofs and patterns, helping participants qualify for AIME and achieve high scores.
Calculus

Calculus

Whether you are navigating AP Calculus or advanced college-level coursework, I provide the targeted insight needed to master complex concepts. I earned a 5 on both the AP Calculus AB and BC exams and have maintained a perfect "A" average in all calculus courses at my Ivy League university. My deep mathematical foundation is further evidenced by a perfect 800 on the SAT Math section and a 65th-place national ranking in a Math Olympiad competition. With several years of experience, I specialize in helping students bridge the gap between "doing the homework" and truly understanding the underlying theory. Whether you need to catch up, get ahead, or prepare for a high-stakes midterm or final, I can help you achieve a top-tier grade.
Career Development

Career Development

My particular specialties within career development are: 1) securing summer internships for undergraduate and graduate students, especially before the last year of graduation, but also during 1st and 2nd year summers as well 2) Early career entry into Finance (including into Investment Banking, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Growth Equity and Venture Capital) as well as Consulting. We can discuss your prospects at the Bulge Brackets, the MBB and the Big 4. 3) Early career entry into High-Tech firms (Amazon, Apple, Google, Microsoft).
Chess

Chess

I have been a Chess Coach for over 9 years, since I started as a child chess prodigy. I founded Zap Chess School and coached students as young as 2 years old. I teach strategies, openings, and get my students to participate in tournaments. I want to build super strong players. But even more importantly, I make sure my students are having fun! This keeps students engaged and coming back for more. But in the meantime, while students are having fun with the game, chess is also developing the students’ math skills surreptitiously. Students that play chess will obtain the vital enrichment and brain development that will give them a headstart in so many endeavors they pursue in life.
College Counseling

College Counseling

I tutor, edit and consult about each and every aspect of the College Admissions process. There are clever and even sneaky strategies for choice of schools, programs and majors. I am also very dialed into the job market, so can give advice from that angle as well. College applications have become more competitive than ever. Thus, it will be extremely important to review every part of the College application including the activities list, the resume and explanations of unusual circumstances. I will leave no stone unturned. Each of the essays needs to be tailored differently for different schools. If you are applying to 20 undergraduate institutions, this could easily mean writing 100 different essays. I know what these schools want, so let’s work together to finally clinch that acceptance.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

I’ve been tutoring elementary school math for over 7 years. I specialize in helping students who are struggling, need to catch up, prepare for a test, or want to get ahead. What sets me apart from other tutors is my high energy and creative teaching style. As an Ivy League student who has earned an A or A+ in every math class, and with a minor in Fine Arts, I combine strong math skills with artistic talent. I bring concepts to life by drawing pictures, mapping out word problems visually, and using fun, relatable examples like cupcakes and toys to make learning enjoyable and memorable.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

I am a 1st place winner in my state of the George S. & Stella M. Knight Essay Contest (2024). I was also a semi-finalist for 2 years in a row of the Ayn Rand International Essay Contest (The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged novels, 2023). I teach thesis development, evidence integration, and coherent structure for academic and scholarship essays, using cohesive outlines and consistent citation styles. My $10,000 Calugar Foundation Scholarship in 2024 was awarded in part due to my SAT score, and in part due to my winning essay. Students learn to analyze prompts, incorporate counterarguments, and polish language through brainstorming and draft reviews. Sessions focus on introduction hooks and conclusion strength, leading to winning submissions and scholarships. You can literally fund your education purely through better writing if you apply to enough merit-based external (and some internal) scholarships. I am available for both essay editing and essay writing.
Finance

Finance

Worried about your upcoming IB technical interview and looking to secure a summer internship or a full-time offer at a bulge bracket, middle market bank, small boutique bank, elite boutique bank or a specialized advisory firm? I have immense experience passing the technical IB rounds and securing rare, prestigious internships. I first broke into finance with a summer internship during my freshman year. Since then, I have passed the technical IB rounds at several firms including elite boutique investment banking firms! I will be able to teach you the exhaustive list of math topics you need to know for your IB technical interview, including core finance and accounting concepts, valuation fundamentals, and strategies for approaching analytical problems. I already have an exhaustive list of topics that we will cover. If you’re just starting out without any training yet, we can start with the basics such as the three financial statements and how they connect, understanding enterprise value vs equity value, performing a comparable company analysis vs a precedent transaction analysis, as well as various DCF questions. We can then move on to more rigorous math and analytical questions that typical investment banks ask. Finally, as we advance, we can ensure an internship or job offer by tackling the most sophisticated investment banking technical questions. I will provide you with numerous practice problems related to each of these topics and more. We will go over each problem thoroughly, and I will tell you exactly what to say to pass your technical IB interview. I have helped many students secure rising-senior summer internships and full-time offers from bulge bracket banks, including Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Citigroup, and Barclays. Additionally, I have prepared countless students for interviews that resulted in offers from elite boutique investment banks such as Evercore, Lazard, Moelis, and Centerview. Breaking into finance takes extensive preparation, but it’s definitely doable.
Interview Prep

Interview Prep

I have extensive experience tutoring college and MBA students consulting cases and IB technical questions. I previously served as a head tutor and case prep coach at The Wharton school of University of Pennsylvania. My expertise in interview prep is backed by a personal track record of securing top summer internships, including a freshman summer offer at Deloitte. This success required me to master complex case structures and frameworks that I now teach to my students, such as Profitability, Market Entry, M&A Synergies, and Post Acquisition Strategy. We will dive deep into the technicalities of the interview to ensure you master every critical formula, ranging from CAGR, Year over Year growth, and the Rule of 72 to operational metrics like Capacity Utilization, Breakeven Volume, and ROA. We will also cover investment essentials such as DCF, NPV, and WACC. My qualifications to lead these technical sessions are extensive. Having earned a perfect 800 on the Math SAT and A or A+ grades in advanced Ivy League coursework like Multivariable Calculus for Economics and both Intro to Micro and Macroeconomics, I can help you bridge the gap between high level technical questions and the split second mental math required for these interviews. Beyond the numbers, I provide intensive coaching on the nuances of elite case etiquette. I will teach you how to command the interview by perfectly recapping the prompt, utilizing strategic quiet time to build rigorous structures, and asking the high value clarifying questions that signal to the interviewer to give you an offer. I am personally committed to seeing you succeed and will meticulously prepare you for every facet of the process from initial behaviorals to final technical rounds. My goal is to make sure you walk into your interview with the poise of a seasoned consultant or investment banking professional so you can secure your dream offer.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I can help your child not only succeed in pre-algebra but excel in it. My qualifications to teach this material are extensive: I earned a perfect 800 on the Math SAT, have received an A or A+ in every math class I have ever taken (including at my Ivy League university), and placed 65th nationally in a Math Olympiad competition. I would be delighted to help your child catch up, study for an upcoming exam, navigate challenging homework, or get ahead of the curriculum. Whether they need to master core concepts like the order of operations, equations and inequalities, variables and expressions, ratios, proportions, percentages, or factors and multiples, I have significant experience guiding students through these exact topics and more! Pre-algebra is my specialty. Because math is a cumulative subject, missing a foundational step like pre-algebra can make it impossible to progress to higher-level mathematics. I am here to ensure your child develops the solid understanding of the basics they need to succeed.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I can help your student not only succeed in Precalculus but truly excel in it. My qualifications are extensive: I earned a perfect 800 on the Math SAT, maintained a straight-A record in all my math classes in high school and at my Ivy League university, and ranked 65th in the nation in a Math Olympiad competition. I would be delighted to help your student master the complex concepts that often act as hurdles to AP Calculus or college-level Calculus. Whether they need to navigate trigonometric functions and identities, logarithmic and exponential equations, complex number theory, or limits and continuity, I have significant experience guiding students through these exact topics and more! Precalculus is my specialty. Because math is a cumulative subject, a "fuzzy" understanding of Precalculus can make success in Calculus nearly impossible. I am here to provide the clarity and confidence your student needs to dominate their coursework and get ahead of the curriculum. Let’s turn Precalculus from a challenge into a strength.
PSAT

PSAT

My expertise in the PSAT includes having received a perfect score on the exam myself. It was through my copious practice that I was able to learn special tips and tricks I can provide you to ensure you get a perfect score! Through my teachings, I have been able to turn students with average scores into top scorers. I increase my students' PSAT scores by an average of 340 points. One of my students, through my coaching, was able to increase his score by over 200 points and receive the National Merit Scholarship. Evidence of my ability to teach the math portion of the PSAT is that I earned a perfect score on the PSAT math section and a perfect 800 on the SAT math section; I also have received an A or A+ in every math class I’ve ever taken, including at my Ivy League university, and I ranked 65th in the country in a national math olympiad. For the reading comprehension section, I teach by not only mapping the reading passage and drawing pictures, but also by teaching the clever strategies you need to get into the mind of the test maker. Many of my students complain that the verbal PSAT parts are very subjective. They are, and this is exactly why you need to get into the mind of the test maker. There is a certain rare answer they are looking for, and I will help you find it each and every time. The PSAT is not merely a test that helps you get ready for the SAT; it is also an investment. The money you invest in my lessons now will directly translate to the scholarships you could obtain from that winning score. Many of my students are unaware that there are other scholarships for those who perform well on the PSAT besides those given out by the PSAT makers themselves. Indeed, there are many colleges that will give full rides to those who perform well on the PSAT (scholarships external to the PSAT itself). This is the best example of sweat equity I can think of. You control how much money you can make, purely with your own hard work, effort, and skills.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

I am an internationally recognized public speaker and political writer who has addressed live audiences of thousands on topics ranging from global economics to political advocacy. My experience includes serving as a youth speaker at the United Nations and hosting national ceremonies at prestigious venues like the Harvard Club of NYC. I have won over 25 national and international awards for my communication skills, including a Golden Key from the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. I specialize in helping students master speechwriting, delivery, and the confidence needed to excel in leadership roles, such as student government or competitive public speaking.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I’ve been tutoring SAT math for over 7 years. The reason I believe I can help you score higher on the SAT math section is that I received a perfect 800 on the SAT math section myself, earned an A or A+ in every math class I’ve ever taken, including at my Ivy League school, and ranked 65th nationally (United States) in a math olympiad out of 6 million participants worldwide. In addition, I’ve taken both Kaplan and Princeton Review, so I also know all the tricks combined into one approach. What’s different about me compared to other SAT math tutors is that I’ll be able to teach you the in-depth way of how to solve an SAT math problem, while also teaching you the multiple trick methods I’ve learned myself. I’ll teach you how the SAT math section works and why it is absolutely critical for you to obtain admission to competitive schools. It is possible to lag behind on the verbal parts, but your math score must be absolutely stellar for top-ranked schools. Many of my students complain that they can do the math problems but simply run out of time. I can tackle such cases immediately and show you how to finish all the math with time to spare.
SAT Writing

SAT Writing

I have extensive experience tutoring the SAT grammar component. Having received a perfect 800 on the SAT verbal section myself, I have mastered the tips, tricks, and rules needed to ace the writing and grammar section of the test. As your SAT writing tutor, I will be able to teach you the specific vocabulary and exact grammar rules required for the exam. There are only a finite number of grammar rules the SAT tests. Examples include subject-verb agreement, complete sentences versus run-on or fragment sentences, and coordinating versus subordinating conjunctions, among many others. Through training with me, you or your child will be able to master the grammar rules and vocabulary that the SAT writing section evaluates. Further evidence of my ability to tutor this section is that I am an internationally award-winning writer, have won first in the state for my writing, and have received the Golden Key from the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Ultimately, I believe my extensive preparation and personal writing awards evidence my ability to help you or your child achieve a higher score in the SAT writing and grammar section.
SSAT

SSAT

I can definitely help you or your child prepare for the SSAT. I achieved a perfect score of 2400, earning an 800 in each of the math, reading, and vocabulary sections. Additionally, I gained admission to prestigious preparatory schools, including Phillips Exeter Academy and Dexter Southfield. My mathematical proficiency is evidenced by a perfect 800 on the SAT, consistent A or A+ grades in every math course I have taken—including those at my Ivy League university—and ranking 65th nationally in a Math Olympiad competition. For the vocabulary & analogy section, I utilized unique self-developed methods, such as mnemonics and visual techniques, to memorize over 1,500 vocabulary words, resulting in a perfect 800. I can help you or your child significantly improve your scores using these specialized memorization methods for vocabulary and the engaging logic frameworks I’ve developed for vocabulary and analogy questions. Furthermore, I assist with reading comprehension by visually mapping passages and explaining not only why the correct answer is right, but also why the alternative choices are incorrect. I have also implemented several proven teaching strategies to ensure high scores on the math section, including time-saving tricks, the 'plugging-in' method, back-solving techniques, and so much more.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

I’ve been tutoring trigonometry to students for over six years and have completed several advanced courses involving heavy trigonometric applications at my Ivy League university. I was recognized as best-in-class for trigonometry in both my high school’s advanced Pre-Calculus and Algebra 2 courses. Whether you need help with trigonometry for Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, or a college-level course, I have developed several effective mnemonics and strategies to help you truly understand the material. My personal track record includes a perfect 800 on the SAT Math section, consistent A or A+ grades in every math class I’ve ever taken (including at my Ivy League university), and ranking 65th nationally in a prestigious math competition.

All the math problems done perfectly; and I also did SAT Math (had timing problem on the SAT)

Before I got on Wyzant, I actually had a genuinely difficult time finding a smart math tutor who can actually do the math that my math teacher assigned for homework. I even tried to find tutors who were teachers at my school but they often did not even know how to do the hard problems that my math teacher was asking us to do for homework! I could not believe it! Like literally, other public school math teachers could not even do the math problems. So I searched for a while longer including at some colleges nearby but still could not find a good one. I am so glad I finally found a tutor that can actually do the math problems without any issue or without taking too long to figure it out (which takes time). I needed an actual math-smart tutor and finally found one. We ended up doing math but then I realized she can also help me with some SAT problems too. So we did some of that and now I finally understand. She also gave me a brilliant way to reduce time so I can finish the math questions on time. I am so glad my struggle in finding someone who both knows the math and can explain thoroughly is over. This has not been an easy task at all.

Very helpful! Learned a lot!!

This was a very helpful session and I’ve learned so much from June! I wish I had found her earlier but then she wasn’t available on Wyzant yet. Very grateful we found her and will continue to work with her.

Knowledgeable and warm teaching style

June and I met to help me with my chess. She has helped me over the weeks to improve my openings, mid-game and end-games as I was lacking in all areas. She is very knowledgeable and has a warm teaching style as well. Further, we have also gone over acting lessons which she is also very knowledgeable with as well. She is a great communicator and I will continue meeting with her on a weekly basis. Highly recommend!

Friendly & Engaging Tutor

June was a fantastic tutor for my son while he was preparing for his Algebra 2 test. She worked with him on quadratic equations and perfect square trinomials. What really stood out was how friendly and engaging she was—she made the material approachable and kept him actively involved the whole time. My son came away feeling much more confident and prepared. I’d highly recommend June to anyone looking for strong, supportive math tutoring.

Fantastic Help with Interview Prep and Job Applications

June was really great at helping me prepare for an interview. We worked on the “Big Four” questions, including revising my live answers to questions like “Walk me through your resume” and “Tell me about yourself.” My original answers were much shorter and lacked confidence. After June’s lesson, she guided me in developing much stronger answers for interviews and even wrote the ideal response based on my credentials in a Google Doc so I can use it for future job interviews. In addition, June helped me edit a job application. She’s very dedicated and was available at the last minute. Lastly, she’s extraordinarily affordable compared to other tutors on Wyzant, which is why I recommend her.
