Gordon College (Early Childhood Ed.)
I recently completed my undergraduate schooling in Early Childhood Education and Linguistics. I have experience teaching in a variety of school settings. I have taught 2nd through 5th grade English language learning students in Revere Public Schools. I have also taught in second grade and Pre-k classrooms in Beverly and Melrose Public Schools. In addition to teaching all subjects in a classroom setting, I have experience with one-on-one tutoring and homework help. I am knowledgeable about language development and teaching reading. I also have experience with teaching mathematical concepts in a way that develops critical thinking skills.
I have experience working with students who have special needs and am knowledgeable about differentiating instruction so that all students can learn. I love reading and learning and hope to instill in students a love for this as well. I enjoy working with elementary-school aged students and love to teach in a fun and hands-on way that encourages students to become life-long learners. I believe it is important for students to see that subject areas all connect and hope my students will learn to see the world as their classroom. I hope to contribute to this process by giving students the supports they need to succeed and using research-based teaching strategies.
I have an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education. My teaching license is for Pre-k to 2, but I have a Pre-k to 6 license for teaching students who are learning English as a Second Language. I have experience in a variety of classrooms, including those that have students with special needs.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a degree and teaching license in early childhood education and teaching English as a second language. I also have experience teaching all subjects in multiple public school settings for PreK-5th grade. I have also provided one-on-one tutoring for this age group in math and reading/writing.
I have an ESL teaching license for PreK-6 and have experience teaching students from a variety of backgrounds. My experience is both in a school setting as an ESL teacher and in tutoring outside of school. In addition, I taught night courses in Lynn, MA for adults who were learning English.
