Regis College, MA (English)
My love of teaching started at a very young age, when I would always be the family "babysitter" at big parties. The fact that I had 17 younger cousins guaranteed that our pretend "classrooms" were always full of pupils! As an 3rd grader, my parents enrolled me in world language classes, including French, Spanish and Latin. I excelled in this area, and know that this contributed to me being in my countywide spelling bee at the ripe age of 8! As I went through high school, I found that my understanding of grammar, spelling and literature only grew. I was often asked to assist other students in my English classes.
When I applied to 11 colleges during my senior year of high school and was accepted to 10 schools, I knew I had the English/writing bug. I have taught English in the Massachusetts Public Schools and I have been a Spanish Tutor for children ranging from 5 to 14 years of age. I encourage everyone around me to speak with intelligence and clarity because I find clear and concise language is the best way to communicate.
I successfully graduated from Regis College in 1997 with a Bachelors of English and a dual minor in Spanish/Education. I have been employed as an investment specialist at Putnam Investments for the past 10 years. I am located in Bellingham, MA and enjoy spending time with my husband and my 2 children, 4 and 7.
Given the opportunity, I would love to help others find their niche and become successful too! Contact me today!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Elementary Education. I have tutored Spanish and English at the Elementary school level. I will work with every student at their own pace to ensure their success. I can tutor in all Elementary subjects, including Common Core.
