I was an English major in college, so I have a love of reading and writing. I have written several newspaper and magazine articles, as well as proofreading our elementary school's yearbook for two years.
I am currently working for the Greenfield Public Schools as a librarian/literacy teacher and virtual school teacher. I have earned my teaching certification in the state of Massachusetts and taught third grade for six years. Prior to that, I worked as a teacher's aide and a substitute teacher. I have also worked as a summer tutor and as a writing teacher for Greenfield Middle School 's after school program.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
