Hi there. I'm Victoria. I am a certified math and science teacher and have taught in multiple K-8 and middle schools with a range of students. While I love teaching in front of a class, I especially love working with students one-on-one.
I primarily work with middle school students but can work with elementary students as well. My favorite part of teaching and tutoring is making connections with students and helping them feel successful, and I look forward to possibly working with you!
I have my teaching license in middle school math. have been student-teaching or teaching in a math classroom for the past three years. In these classes, students use models and visuals to learn skills, as well as answer some real world problems. Students developed problem solving skills that could be applied any unfamiliar problem.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in biology at Boston University. While obtaining my degree, I worked in diagnostics lab for multiple years. After realizing my passion for teaching, I obtained my teaching license in middle school science and have since taught physical science. This coming school year, I will be teaching life science in addition to physical science.
I'm excited by the opportunity to help you reach your goals! Please contact me with any questions that you may have. Hi there. I'm Victoria. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
