As a former high school teacher, I love teaching writing for all subjects and helping students to analyze literature and non-fiction. I am experienced teaching a variety of types of writing: including research papers, opinion essays, basic composition, and journalism.

I currently teach ESL in an academic setting and have tutored many English language learners.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I taught middle school and high school English and have tutored many middle school aged students. I currently teach writing and grammar among other subjects as an ESL teacher.

I have 5 of years ESL teaching experience and a Master's degree in Education. I have an undergraduate degree in English literature.

Writing

I currently teach Writing and Critical Thinking to ESL students of various ages and grade levels. I have taught ninth, tenth and 12th grade English in Arlington and Winchester high schools. I have tutored students in reading comprehension and writing at the high school and college level. I have a Master's degree in Education and a Bachelor's degree in English.
