I am a seasoned high school teacher with 15 years of teaching experience. I have advocated for equity and participation of students with needs in inclusive educational, professional, and community settings. My experience is strong in facilitating training to teachers and students via written, verbal, power point, and smart board presentations. Implementing and conducting workshops including hands-on, cooperative based learning, problem solving and time management have been many through my career. Serving as TEAM Chair with active student/parent/teacher involvement and feedback with a large case load, I have developed numerous Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Without hesitation, I will be able to coordinate and plan the student’s learning needs and environment seamlessly.
As lead instructor/co-teacher in high school English classrooms, I’ve mentored students/teachers in the design of differentiated instruction, multi-modal instructional delivery, and modification of classroom instructions addressing student centered needs in all core academic areas. I modified classroom instructions in inclusive settings in reading, writing, and comprehension to meet graduation requirements which prepare students to enter higher education and professional trades.
I am a professionally certified English teacher, grades 9-12, who has taught for the past 15 years in English classrooms in the Franklin Hampshire Valley public school systems. As a teacher, trainer, and facilitator for students with needs, this position will utilize my professional experience advocating for students by coordinating their educational plan and assisting them to meet their goals.

I will motivate students to serve as self-advocates and implement educational plans which will ensure student success. My sense of urgency and understanding of detail to provide strong advocacy in academics has been tested throughout my educational career. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
