For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have extensive experience with preparing students for their SSAT and ISEE exams (lower, middle and upper levels). I help the students master effective methods of reading and solving problems in the verbal section as well as help them develop good structure and ideas for the writing portion. As for the math section, I first teach the most commonly seen topics in the exams, including algebraic equations, shapes, coordinate system, metric system, whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, word problems, etc. As we work through the different concepts, I also help build confidence and try to engage them in various ways to show them that learning new and advanced topics is fun.

When I was in high school, I used to be afraid of public speaking. However, through multiple opportunities to speak in front of the public, I have become a very efficient presenter who can not only speak comfortably in front of people, but also exhibit good public speaking skills. I can help students to overcome the fear of public speaking and advance their body language, eye contact, etc., to improve effectiveness.
As someone who graduated from college in three years, I have excellent organizational skills and very efficient time management skills. I am able to help students schedule their time to be more effective, but at the same time, set time aside for leisure activities. I can help students to find methods of studying that work for them and the environment that is most beneficial specifically to them.
