Science has been the forefront of an ever-challenging world around us. New advances in technology, medicine and scientific studies have shaped the way people perceive the world. Many people have looked to science to understand different phenomena to find hidden codes and seek more into the past, present and future. My role will only teach students but to aid in their fascination of various scientific topics. Students will find an opportunity to academically grow in these fields with a new sense of appreciation of these various topics. As a recent graduate from medical school and an alum from a renowned university, I have taught students different ways to understand difficult subjects in science. As an undergraduate, I earned my degree in microbiology and throughout my undergraduate years, I was a teaching assistant for over three years in the field of microbiology, and approximately 2 years in biology. As a teaching assistant, I not only educated students in various laboratory techniques in microbiology, but helped students understand more about the subject and academic strategies to understand the various organisms being studied. In the biological sciences, I helped my peers gain an understanding in the bio-mechanics of organisms interacting in their environment, and aided in their comprehension in microbial and genetic analyses.
Tutoring for me is a great way for both the teacher and student to learn and gain more from the topics studied. As a tutor, I want the student to grasp the knowledge not only for the exams, but for the future. With personalized study schedules, the student and I will look at the weak areas and help bridge any gaps in these fields.
I have published multiple reports and case studies within the realm of science and clinical medicine. I have worked with multiple students in the past, during high school and college, and many students have seen an improvement in grades over time. Although my undergraduate major is Microbiology, I have expanded my background in the fundamentals in biology, and increased my knowledge of psychology, anatomy and physiology during my medical career.
I am available in the mornings and until early evening. Science has been the forefront of an ever-challenging world around us. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
