Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

English

I have a degree in English Literature and Composition, with a concentration in Professional Communication. I've owned and operated a bookstore with over 100k books sold in over a decade.

Martial Arts

I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and Kickboxing. I should be able to instruct an interested student or train with these skills. I may not be able to assist students of other martial arts practices.

Saxophone

I played the alto and tenor saxophones for seven years in jazz and concert band. I attained the First Chair ranking for five years in a row. I played all of the solos in our band and am comfortable teaching a student how to play the saxophone.
