Hello I have a bachelors in microbiology from the ULL at Lafayette. During my time at the university I was in the Honors program and I participated in the university's tutoring program among my peer specifically in the subjects of science, English, and math. I also have a master's degree from LSUHSC which gives me a broad array of knowledge. I have taken and excelled on several standardized tests including ACT, GRE, and MCAT. Also during the summer I worked as a teacher for students who were behind their appropriate math and reading levels. Through targeted interventions I was able to bring my students up to their grade level and often exceed expectations. I worked with small children as well as teenagers through my many summers participating in this program. Also I'm a mom so I have personal experience and the patient to teach small children as well.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
