Hi, I'm Sarah! I am a recent graduate from Louisiana State University (c/o 2019, Cum Laude), where I graduated with my B.S. in Biochemistry and B.A. in Sociology! Hi, I'm Sarah! I am a recent graduate from Louisiana State University (c/o 2019, Cum Laude), where I graduated with my B.S. in Biochemistry and B.A. in Sociology! I worked hard to understand a variety of topics and truly fell in love with both the hard and soft sciences. However, what truly made me enjoy each class was the wonderful professors and mentors. As a graduate from both Distinguished Communicator and Distinguished Researcher Programs, I have learned a variety of tricks for improving my study habits and would love to pass them on to the next generation of scientists and motivated thinkers.

My experiences with tutoring range from helping elementary and middle school-aged children as a high school student, through tutoring HS and university students of a variety of backgrounds while at LSU. My favorite subjects to teach include chemistry, biology, microbiology, biochemistry, psychology, and sociology, as well as a wide variety of laboratory courses. My students and I would often work to try new techniques if topics were not being understood, as well as working through plenty of practice to be able to master the material. I try to be accommodating to a variety of learning styles and work with each student to find a routine that best helps them. I believe a little bit of practice each day, staying organized, and staying motivated is the best way to succeed. I truly look forward to helping guide you on your academic journey!

Over the course of my four years at LSU, I took almost 20 biology courses (undergraduate and graduate level), about 10 chemistry courses, and about 15 sociology and psychology courses (near-perfect GPA in these courses).

Overall, I would like to be someone students are excited to work with, and parents are excited to hear about progress from. I will work to find a variety of resources and offer a wide variety of techniques to help improve grades, better understand the material, and learn to love school as much as me!

Excellent Experience

This was my first session and it felt very productive. Sarah seemed extremely knowledgeable and worked at a great pace for me. I also really liked how prepared she was before the session it shows that she really cares and takes pride in her work. I look forward to more tutoring sessions and believe they will be very helpful.

My daughter really enjoyed her first session with Sarah. They started reviewing for an upcoming final and spent most of the time reviewing the first chapter on cell life. Currently, I'm a sophomore in high school and AP Bio is naturally a challenging subject, so it wasn't long before I realized I needed help. Patient, Knowledgeable, and Friendly Tutor

Sarah C was teaching about everything there is to know about Nomenclature, IUPAC naming, Stereocenters, Unsaturation/Saturation and the main functional groups to know. I really enjoyed the lesson because she was very kind, patient and understanding, knew her material very well, and is flexible and found a good time for us to do the lesson. We went over foundational lessons in O Chem I was struggling with and it helped out a lot. I definitely recommend this tutor.
