About Pamela

For almost 10 years I have taught and tutored young learners and adults in the US and abroad. I taught conversational English at a military high school in Istanbul, Turkey as well as taught two small girls elementary English in Tokyo, Japan. While in Istanbul, I also taught general and business English to adults. During my teaching stint in Chicago, I taught math and language arts to middle school children at Dawes Middle School. In the Big Learning program, I taught elementary chemistry to small children in Maryland.

From 2010-2012, I was an instructor lecturing on global economics and financial issues for Chesapeake College and Prince Georges Community College in Maryland. In 2012, I moderated a current events program for the Senior Association in 2013, I was a substitute teacher instructing geometry and algebra II to Korea students in Maryland. In 2014, I was an ESL teacher of general and business English in Stuttgart, Germany. Recently, I taught ESL to two French siblings whose ages were 5 and 15 years old.

I enjoy sharing my knowledge and understanding of math and other subjects to students, as well as immensely enjoy showing them that most subjects require the use of analysis and logic to them.

The ability to demonstrate to the students how to understand and use logic to understand the subjects.

Because small children tend to be visual, I enjoy using the products to show them how to mix their experiments. For example, I show them how to make matter solid and liquid.

Basically, I am not going to have any boring sessions and the students will learn the lessons quickly.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
