Staffordshire University, UK (Philosophy)
I have a degree in Philosophy from Staffordshire University and a CELTA ESL certificate. I am a UK citizen who has recently moved to New Orleans having spent the last four years teaching in China and Hong Kong. While there I had experience across all age ranges, from kindergarten to adults, with a special focus on high school and middle school. I also designed and ran tutoring sessions for students in order to help them pass their exams. The range of my experience across different cultures and education systems means that I can often help students using a wide variety of teaching methods.

Education is the key for a better future. Helping both young and old set themselves up to achieve their dreams is very rewarding. Everyone should have the chance to reach their full potential.
I have studied both humanities and science at degree level so have expertise across many disciplines; from maths to English and biology to sociology. I believe that one of the fundamental tasks of any teacher is to inspire the curiosity in a student so that they can become their own best teacher.
