Alabama State University (English)
University of New Orleans (Master's)
I am a graduate student at the University of New Orleans. I am also an instructor of English Composition and Writing 101 at the University of New Orleans. I have experience teaching kids from k-11 and adults as well through my summer teaching job at the Institute of Reading Development.
Though my graduate degree will be in Literature, I am proficient at History well because it was my minor as an undergraduate. I am capable of helping within the scope of humanities based subjects. I also gave experience with helping parents as well. This enables the parents to assist during times I am not available. I am extremely enthusiastic about teaching and know that I can improve not only your child's performance in that subject, but also stimulate their love for it.
I have a BA in English and will be graduating from the University of New Orleans with a masters degree in American Literature. I also really love reading and believe that is the basis for doing well in this area

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
