Growing up speaking Spanish and attending bilingual schools, I developed a deep connection to language learning from an early age. Throughout my teaching career, spanning from pre-K to 12th grade, I’ve focused on language acquisition through immersion, hands-on projects, and TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) to make Spanish come alive for my students. I believe in creating an immersive environment where students can interact with the language in meaningful, real-world contexts, helping them develop both fluency and cultural appreciation. Seeing students embrace Spanish in creative ways and grow in confidence is one of the most rewarding aspects of my teaching journey.

TOEFL

As an experienced ELL teacher, I have spent years supporting students in developing the academic language skills necessary to succeed in English-language proficiency tests like the TOEFL. My background in language acquisition and test preparation allows me to tailor instruction to meet the specific needs of students, focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. I am well-versed in test-taking strategies and provide personalized guidance to help students feel confident and prepared. With a strong track record of helping students improve their TOEFL scores, I am dedicated to helping them reach their academic and personal goals.
