Hello,
I have master's degrees from University of Southern Mississippi and Herzing Online. I am an efficient proofreader and get effective results. I have taught math and reading to small groups in Louisiana schools and now strictly focus on private lessons. My flexible weekly schedule holds lessons for students at every level. I'm persistent, patient, resourceful, and practical-minded. I'm enthusiastic and overall cheerful. I impart needed rules and organized thinking to inquisitive minds.
Students who need assistance with the basics or advanced components necessary for their comprehension when reading narrative or expository material meet me. In math lessons we review standard approaches along with the insight, approaches, and logic that I can give. The student will receive encouragement and reminders from me as well as demonstrations. We can work in a public setting or virtual classroom if you prefer.
Study practices are a necessary skill that students acquire during my lessons. Their need for diligent practice, use of foresight, and unwavering commitment cause students to struggle and such responsibilities are added challenges to those they face within the school body; all of us have admitted that many difficulties exist for any members of organizations. If you haven't been to one on one lessons before or recently, I encourage you to reserve time with me. I can help with reading, proofreading and editing, writing techniques for points, spelling, math, problem solving, charts and diagrams, and more. Students have to approach their problems metacognitively and present their thinking when performing steps to get answers.
Thanks for using Wyzant for your tutoring needs. I have been tutoring for Wyzant for almost ten years. The website serves as a top notch executive secretary. My pupils bring their charm, wishes, and warmth to their lessons. Thank you all immensely for my many cherished memories due to your appearances. I am looking forward to a new connection--that is you.

Above are some assessments that I recently finished. I didn't prepare in any particular way before them, but what I do daily is reflected in the results. I didn't get mostly expert results but didn't expect to since in one month I took 10 or more tests. Reasonable expectations of your test scores will keep you satisfied and counting on the truth that your assessment results are achieved while under pressure and in clinical circumstances. Use your common sense at all times.

Students may not be able to cover everything. My intention as a study skills tutor is to focus for the student until the student can. I know how to format and reformat information, find the key issues, and demonstrate mnemonic approaches that students can use when preparing their classwork. I know that smart study habits can decrease the anxiety of students. I have done that for myself before and am willing to help others do it. I have helped countless students while teaching to pay attention to the fine points of collecting and organizing information. Studying can be fun once students take note to studying as an art. WyzAnt presents me with students that need to increase their study skills. Due to my workforce training and development, as well as business degrees that I have and the teaching in K-12 that I do, I know how to study and guide you to study. My sources of studying approaches are from the web, my own educators, years of experience as an educator, and my personal library collection. I am a degreed, practical knowledge scientist. As a student striving for a degree, I had to meet the course criteria, was expected to submit assignments in a timely fashion, and finish extensive research before constructing presentations and papers. Gradually, I began to study more proficiently and feel better in the time it took to get a desirable result. I learned that I would have to organize what I studied so that from year to year I could locate what I had researched and logged and use it again. Your students will learn from me how to efficiently package your academic efforts.

As a local New Orleans choir member, I'm required to read new sheet music issued weekly to us by our director. We read the notes on the music staff. An A440 tuning fork or pitch pipe is used to start ear training students. Once the student hums that pitch of A440, it is okay to move on to other frequencies using interval knowledge. If music becomes important as a major pursuit to you, you can learn from me harmony and other unfamiliar parts of written music. We'll examine it as music theory rather than music performance.

Cooking

Here alongside the banks of the mighty Mississippi River, you can receive tutoring for cooking in one of two different homes. For this subject, I asked a second Louisiana native cook to join me, and she agreed. We will act as Sous-Chefs for each other. In a handful of fine-dining, casual, and wedding hall situations , I have been required to make muffalettas, super salads, lunch plates, smoothies, hor d'ouerves, pizzas, and dinner salads for customers while watching cooks preparing gumbo, dirty rice, jambalaya, etouffee, and crab meat au gratin. At home, crab cakes, crayfish bisque, and stuffed peppers among other delectable Louisiana delights are the usual on our tables. We will extend our range of recipes to far beyond just Louisiana dishes. Baking, grocery shopping, and best deals are among our interests.

Biology,

Biology

I had Biology and Earth Science courses while a student during the early part of this century. I can help make ecology, Punnett squares, DNA, RNA, the water cycle, Earth sciences, and the bottom of the ocean seem real with illustrations while you make your reading skills improve just like any college student needs to. I would tell you to cover your biology software at any time on your own but also use your own skill and creativity to make the subject rich with your personal effort. We can build models or read excerpts that I bring to the lesson.
Elementary (K-6th),

Elementary (K-6th)

Students that meet with me weekly in the various public libraries of the GNO area benefit from the large amount of attention that I can give to their particular difficulties. My schooling consistently enables me to reassure students in the areas of test-taking, writing, reading comprehension, ELA, math, computer literacy, science, and more. I haven't forgotten my own elementary school lessons. It pleases me to teach children the love of academic achievement and the different weights that their study skills hold. I wish I could show you the photo of a second grader I have been helping over a long-term period. He has 2nd term ELA, Honor Roll, and math award certificates. I have a good rapport with people and will do my best at all times.
Piano,

Piano

Sight reading in choir practices and performing with the NOLA Volunteer Orchestra, a degree in music from Berklee College of Music, private piano and group theory lessons under the guidance of Jane Smisor Bastien once upon a time at Newcomb College next to Tulane University, and two semesters of sight singing at UNO qualify me to lead you in keyboard study. I don't have a keyboard presently so you and I will have to improvise; I don't visit homes of students.
Study Skills,

Study Skills

A tutor certified in study skills can extract and compile vital information for students. The web presents loads of overwhelming information about the subjects in school and also study skills.

I also have the web to locate innovative and recent advances made in the job market. In our lessons, we'll create interviews and act in them, seek the parameters of the students' interests and propensities, work to self-assess and locate strong and little compatibility, and look at job boards. We'll take time to analyze our discoveries and concentrate on prioritizing and structuring career development effort.
