Bio

I graduated from high school with a 4.0 and went to University of New Orleans (because that was what I could afford to do). I graduated in accounting on the Dean’s List. Immediately after graduation I worked for a major oil & gas company as an international accountant. I left that job when I had children. my husband and I started buying apartments. We eventually owned over 100. I did all the accounting for our business. When my children got to be school age, I spent everyday helping them...

When my children got to be school age, I spent everyday helping them & sometimes their friends with homework. I didn’t know at the time but they both were ADD. We figured out a way to get the work done in a way that was best for them. I never stopped helping them & giving them the skills and encouragement needed to succeed. They both took AP classes in high and graduated with at least a 3.5 GPA. One has a Master's degree from Tulane University and one is currently attending SMU.
After I “lost” my students I started substitute teaching. I find it very rewarding watching the the faces light up with learning. Being a substitute teacher, I am not worn out by the day to day operations of the job. I am not tied down in paperwork or red tape. I’m just there to teach and encourage. Which is what I’m best at.

Math was always my best subject in school. I love math. Which is why I went into Accounting in college. I have taught elementary math while substitute teaching. I have gone through high school math again while helping my children. I was an accounting major in college and keep our books for our business.

I’m very easy going. My schedule is flexible. Contact me and let’s get started!
