Hi my name is Samantha. My family and friends call me Sam. I have my PhD in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky. While pursuing my PhD I taught general and organic chemistry labs for 5 years. I also tutored general chemistry students. After finishing my PhD I taught general and organic chemistry labs at Eastern Kentucky University. While at EKU I taught general chemistry concepts such as quantum numbers, nomenclature, electron configurations, and many other topics. I was also responsible for teaching students how to write lab reports, introducing them to different types of instrumentation, and basic organic/general chemistry lab techniques. I have experience teaching students with all different types of learning backgrounds. Whether you are a beginner or advanced I can help! I can also help you learn and geometry, as those are very necessary skills for chemistry.

Fun fact: I was in Americorp while perusing my undergraduate degree. I tutored elementary students in math and reading, as well as volunteering at the local hospice. I have always enjoyed helped other people, no matter what the task may be. I enjoy seeing other people with a smile on their face.

I moved to Louisiana about a year ago to peruse my career with Sasol working in research and development, but miss teaching/tutoring.

My husband and I are the proud parents of a 4 legged fur baby named BP.

Patience, I want to ensure that you completely understand the topic. To do that takes patiences and diligence when teaching others. While, my degree is in Chemistry, a great deal of geometry are necessary when teaching the subject.

I have a PhD in chemistry with over six years of teaching and tutoring chemistry. I have always had a passion for teaching chemistry and would love to help you.

I look forward to working with you. If you have any questions please feel free to message me!
