My name is Jason and I have a barrage of teaching and tutoring experience. I've taught fourth grade math and science in an inner city elementary school, done research with math and reading disabled and accelerated children in research settings, served as a research assistant investigating early children's language categorical abilities and developing sense of self, taught SAT for the Princeton Review for three years (Math, Critical Reading and Writing & Grammar), tutored GRE, Geometry, Prealgebra, Algebra, Biology, and Chemistry. Taught at the university level: College General Chemistry Lab and Lecture, College Introduction to Psychology, Human Cognition and Learning, History of Psychology and Adolescent Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Issues In Adolescent Development, Child Development, Research II: Scientific Investigations, Research I: Statistics for Psychology, Lifespan Development, Cognitive Psychology, Applied Social Sciences, Perspectives in the Social Sciences, Psychology of Personality, Social Psychology, Social Cognition and Perception, Contemporary Issues in Social Psychology, and Contemporary Issues in Applied Psychology. From these experiences, I've accumulated a plethora of teaching experiences across a very wide range of age groupings that make me a very effective instructor and one on one tutor. I received BS in Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology, BA Psychology, and minored in Film Studies and Religion, MA Cognitive and Developmental Psychology. I have worked as a Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Clinician, Therapist, and Counselor. These experiences have allowed me to truly relate and to effectively be able to determine and implement a variety of teaching and learning styles which are most effective for the student's I'm instructing and tutoring. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have tutored Algebra I and taught and tutored SAT math which includes Arithmetic, Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II.
I received my BS in Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology and taken many Biology courses and have tutored high school and college level Biology.
I have taught General Chemistry I lab and have tutored high school and college level General Chemistry.
I have tutored high school and college level English and have taken a wide variety of English courses at the college level.

I have a very proficient grammar sensibility and I have taught and tutored SAT and ACT Grammar.

I received a BA and MA in Psychology. I have taught and tutored a plethora of psychology areas (psychobiology, neuroscience, developmental, cognitive, abnormal, child, adolescent, memory, cognition, evolutionary etc)
I have accumulated excellent public speaking skills. This is evidenced by four years of renowned national debating experience in the domain of public speaking, receiving many national accolades and rewards on a local, state and national level. In high school I constantly taught the art of oratory to students while engaged in debate. I am also an excellent instructor and use and have constantly used my public speaking skills in the context of elementary school education, SAT and GRE instruction, and college teaching. Given these experiences I would be an excellent candidate to teach public speaking in tutorial practice.
