During my undergraduate studies, I tutored high school students over the summer. I assisted them with SAT preparation, with a focus on English, reading comprehension, and the essay writing process. I also collaborated with a local high school teacher to create review materials for these exams, as well as Advanced Placement assessments.

During my time in graduate school, I was selected and worked as a Supplemental Instruction Leader at Louisiana State University's Department of Academic Success. I taught a supplementary class of undergraduate history students for the course HIST 2057 (United States 1865 to Present). My work primarily involved translating historical concepts into content that students could easily comprehend and retain. I also developed quiz questions and study guides, gave lectures, and conducted learning activities and group sessions to reinforce the course material.

My role also required me to engage with other Supplemental Instruction Leaders and professors to compare and develop new methods and materials. I prepared lesson plans consisting of small group discussions, interactive learning strategies, lectures and assessments, and held office hours each week to provide instruction to students who required additional support. I significantly improved the overall grades and exam scores of session attendees (confirmed by follow-up studies conducted by faculty). From August 2015 to November 2016 I worked as a private tutor in Athens, Greece. I tutored students and adults in English to help them prepare for the Michigan English Test, the official English proficiency exam of Greece recognized by the state and the private sector. I assisted secondary education students with homework and test preparation in the areas of English and History.

I have a Master's Degree in History.
