For the past 10 years I have enjoyed teaching students to be successful learners through engagement, motivation, and empowering students to become independent thinkers. My experience has been teaching elementary education grades K-5, special education, inclusion, after school tutoring, virtual tutoring, and virtual ESL instruction (in 5 countries).
Teaching all of the core subjects (math, English, Science, and Social Studies) across the curriculum allows me to focus on filling the educational gaps students need during response to interventions. Students can learn to focus on fluency, strategies, and independent thinkers being motivated to complete their learning tasks.
I graduated with Bachelor of Science in Psychology from LSU and a Master of Arts in Early Education from Louisiana Teach University in Ruston with a 4.0 GPA and being a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society. I earned the title of Most Compassionate Teacher and I made the Principal's List for being an excellent team player.
During my off-time, I enjoy gardening. I also take English style horseback riding lessons.
