While I do not currently have an ESL certification, I am in the process of completing a TEFL program. Despite my lack of certifications, I believe that I would be a good ESL tutor because I have been through the process of having to learn English. I came to the United States when I was 12 years old and taught myself how to fluently read, write, and speak English.
