About Ladesha

Helping students teach their goals and realize their potential has always been a passion of mine. For the past three years I have served 7th and 8th grade middle school students as their teacher, math tutor and personal champion and cheerleader. It is a gratifying experience to have a scholar who begins the year on a 4th grade math level and end the year proficient in their mathematics grade level!

My experience as a tutor spans more than 15 years. I served as an undergraduate mentor/tutor. Providing services to my peers in various subject areas: pre-algebra, algebra, pre-calculus, biology, and chemistry. Following that experience I had taken in the responsibility of Retention Coordinator where my primary focus was to ensure undergraduate students had the resources necessary to ensure they graduate. In addition, we organized a community wide program for middle and high school students which included undergraduates giving back tutoring as well as the implementation of an ACT prep program.

With years of service under my belt and the passion and drive to help my clients succeed I have proven successful in helping students meet their personal mark!

I have been tutoring math and related STEM subjects for more than 15 years. My experience stems back from being an undergraduate peer mentor/tutor to a program Retention Coordinator, coordinating tutorial services for program participants to more recently providing services for my 7th and 8th grade scholars where at least 85% of them grew at least one grade level.

For more information regarding my services or qualifications, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I've been tutoring math officially for over ten years, particularly elementary, middle, pre-algebra and algebra. Scholars that I have worked with have shown growth and developed confidence In a subject they thought they would never understand. I focus on the standards aligned with what your scholar learns in the classroom, my approach is pre-assess, provide intervention and then assess afterwards to determine your scholars grasp of the content.

Prealgebra

I have been tutoring math ranging from elementary math to calculus and even SAT/ACT prep. Currently I teach 7th and 8th grade math. Much of the material introduced to my 8th graders this year was pre-algebra material (expressions and equations, exponents, scientific notation, slope, functions, etc).
