In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
algebra 1 & 2 are my very favorite subjects. Last November, I taught Alg. 1 to an BRCC girl. She passed & now taking Alg. 2. also, I taught Alg. 2 to 10th grade high school students. They also passed 7 one of the student is tutoring & earning some money too. I am so happy for him.
I love teaching any kind of math, and I would like to have this experience with little Elementary School students at at a lower level as well.
