I have a degree in Business Management and a Master's degree from Southern University. I am employed at a University where I am a Coordinator for Student Services. My relationship with students both young and old is great. I will complete my Ph.D. in the spring of 2017.
I have tutored children before with great success and have been able to enhance the students' abilities in whatever area they have received tutoring. I firmly believe that any child can learn no matter what level their learning capacity may be. I teach my students never to use the words "I can't" because you can accomplish anything when you try. I am an Associate Minister at my church where I teach Sunday School every Sunday. My love for children is the greatest asset and the one that makes me successful in the area of tutoring.
I have taken four semesters of English in college and have utilized that in my writings in the college courses taken. As an MA degree student it was a requirement to write and submit a research paper which was accepted. In the classes undertaken in my Ph.D. studies writing is required and critiqued very closely. I am a good orator and a firm believer in the usage of correct grammar. As an Associate Minister, I teach Sunday School and am familiar with the Bible and can explain scriptures with clarity and understanding.
In addition to all of the above, the most important phase of tutoring is patience, which means never giving up on a student and never allowing a student to give up on his/her self. I am a great motivator and seize every opportunity to uplift the students tutored. There has been a 95.5% success ratio of all students that I have tutored. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My qualification in the specific subject is based on the studying of the Bible and my teaching Sunday School every Sunday.
