Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have taught Act Prep several times per year for the past 10 years or so. This was held on Saturdays and usually lasted four Saturdays in a row. Most of the students I tutored improved their ACT scores in Math by 2-5 points.

I have taught Algebra I for the past 37 years. As a retiree, I prefer to tutor one-on-one.

I have taught Algebra 2 for the past 37 years but now, as a retiree, I prefer to work with students on a one-on-one basis. I have also taught College Algebra for several years.

I have coordinated ASVAB at school and taught a review session before the actual test. This always allowed students an idea of their strengths and the types on work situations they would be good at. I administered the test for 10-12 grades.

I have taught all math classes from 6th grade math to freshman level college classes. I have 37 years of experience in teaching math and am now retired. I enjoy teaching one-on-one. Career development is a topic we discuss in all math classes .

I have taught a finite class for Northwestern State University as an adjunct instructor. This was a night class which consisted of 3 hours per night, two nights per week for 8 weeks. This course was one of my favorite college classes to teach as it can be very useful in everyday life for the students.

One summer I taught soldiers to be eligible for their GED. I also taught my father (at age 55) the math he needed to get his GED.

I have taught Geometry in high school and from grades 6-8. I have also attended conferences and workshops on Geometry.

I have taught Algebra I and II for most of the 37 years in my education career. These classes are the ground work for any upper level math class above algebra II to include college classes.

My experience would be proof of my ability to teach linear algebra.

Prealgebra has been taught at the schools I worked at as a 7th or 8th grade class. Students in these classes were taking it to prepare for high school algebra credit.

Have taught advanced math in high school - which is almost an equivalent to pre-calculus. also in ACT tutoring , we have covered Pre-calculus problems.
