Southeast community and technical college (Nursing)
I have always had a thirst for knowledge, ever since I can remember. I love to learn and to help others do the same. I recently graduated from SKCTC with an Associates of Science degree. I worked as an anatomy, physiology, and microbiology tutor there for three semesters.
My best subjects are science and English. I can also provide students help with any sort of ACT prep. I received a high score on this test myself and have many tools, tips, and tricks to help others succeed as well.
I am fairly flexible with time and dates for setting up appointments and lessons. I'm willing to travel to you for our session, or I'll gladly meet you at another location. You can call or email me anytime if you have questions or concerns about our appointment. Please let me know of any cancellations or rescheduling issues within two hours of our set appointment time.
Science! I love it. I've received many awards in science over the years, including these collegiate ones for:
-Anatomy and Physiology I
-Anatomy and Physiology II
-Principles of Microbiology
I've taught lessons and created experiments in general science classes as well as high school chemistry. I was chosen to attend the University of Kentucky's Girls in Science camp. Science is one of my favorite subjects to teach. I do my very best to make the information easy to understand as well as easy to remember and use in the future.
Please feel free to contact me and set up an appointment. If you're unsure I'm more than willing to set up a consultation to ease your worries and answer any questions you may have.
I do my best to make learning interesting and make every lesson successful. I can easily adapt my tutoring style for each individual's learning style. Please consider contacting me to be your tutor! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taken the ACT multiple times and have an excellent grasp of the test and the strategies for improving one's score. On the reading portion of the test, I scored a 31 out of 36 possible points. Also, on approving myself for tutoring this subject on WyzAnt, I scored 100% on the ACT reading approval test!
