I am new to tutoring but quite confident that I can tutor a student in Math and/or English. I won awards in both English and Math in high school. I took both Algebra I and Algebra II in high school. I also took a college course in Elementary Algebra at Hopkinsvulle Conmmunity College. I took two Writing Courses there also. I have experience working at an elementary school in the library and as an instructional assistant. I enjoyed the challenge of solving word problems and algebra problems when I was in school. I would be able to help a student in English and writing also. I am looking forward to opportunities in this field.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
