I have been teaching music for half a decade. My current studies are in classical guitar pedagogy with an emphasis on Suzuki instruction, music theory, and jazz improvisation. My goal is to provide my students with a wide range of skills and teaching techniques to yield a well rounded musician.
In my career, I have been every kind of musician. Rock, Jazz, Classical, my musical interests know no bounds and I bring this to every lesson I teach. My academic training is in jazz performance, Classical guitar, and pedagogy (with an emphasis on the Suzuki method).
With every student I learn more about being a good musician and a good teacher. I benefit as much from my students as they do me, and I hope we get to work together! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
